How to translate messages
When Seamless Translate is turned on, incoming text messages are translated automatically into your selected language.
The translation appears below the original message.
Messages already in your selected language are not translated.
Translate a message manually
To translate a specific text message:
- Press and hold the message
- Select Translate
You can also use this option to translate a message again.
Translate multiple unread messages
If a chat has three or more unread messages, ChatRaha pauses automatic translation until you choose to translate the unread messages.
Tap Translate to translate the unread messages that have not yet been translated.
This does not turn off Seamless Translate. New incoming messages will continue to follow your current translation settings.
Why is my message not translated?
A translation may not appear if:
- Seamless Translate is turned off for the chat
- The message is already in your selected translation language
- The chat has three or more unread messages waiting for confirmation
- The message does not contain translatable content
- The message type is not currently supported
- The translation could not be completed
If the translation fails, tap Retry or press and hold the message, then select Translate.
